At the routine press conference for the first quarter held by the State Administration for Market Regulation, reporters learned that previously, the Administration focused on three major categories and eleven types of products: power banks, electric bicycles and safety accessories, and gas burners and safety accessories. It launched a pilot reform of the CCC mark to improve the mandatory product certification system, strengthen enterprises' main responsibility for product quality and safety, and effectively prevent illegal activities such as counterfeit certification marks and false certification.

In this reform, the Administration focuses on issues and emphasizes effectiveness. On the basis of the existing CCC mark, it integrates a CCC traceable QR code to build a certification information data chain of 'certified product—manufacturing enterprise—certification certificate—certification body.' With just 'one click to scan,' it is possible to verify in real-time whether a product has valid CCC certification and clearly obtain key information such as the manufacturer, product specifications, and certification body, achieving 'traceable source, verifiable authenticity, and accountable responsibility.'

The pilot reform explicitly requires certification bodies to provide certified enterprises with the CCC traceable QR code for free when issuing certificates, for product printing or embossing. A 12-month preparation and transition period has been set, giving enterprises ample time to adjust and adapt. After the transition period ends, that is, from March 1, 2027, all certified products within the pilot scope that are sold from factories will need to 'be equipped with the code' to be legally marketed.

Currently, the pilot reform work has been fully launched and is progressing in an orderly manner. The first batch of eleven pilot products with the added CCC traceable QR code have all been put into production and are gradually entering the market.
